An evening with Domenica | Thursday May 8th

On Thursday May 8th, we welcome Peter Graham for an evening with Domenica.

Peter Graham has been making wine in Beechworth since 1999, when he began working in the vineyards and winery at Giaconda. During these early years, he studied oenology at Charles Sturt University while working as assistant winemaker at Giaconda until 2012, when he left to establish Domenica. The vineyard was first planted in 1996, an accord of family and friends. The original planting consisted of Chardonnay, Roussanne and Pinot Noir on the steeper south facing section of the property. Ensuing years saw a joint venture between Michel Chapoutier, Rick Kinzbrunner and Peter Graham expand plantings to feature Shiraz and Nebbiolo. With more than 25 years of experience working this vineyard site, Peter brings an intimate perspective to the celebrated Beechworth Region. The wines are thoughtfully vinified on-site in small batches to capture the diversity of aspects and clonal selections in the vineyard.

We have just 30 seats available for this evening and would love to see you there. We will be offering our Pilot menu for each guest with the choice to go by the glass, bottle or select a pairing and taste through these expressive wines. Peter will be sharing stories of his history in the Beech worth region and his approach to winemaking.

BYO Thursdays

A decorative arrangement on a black shelf features a ceramic vase with dried flowers, empty glass decanters, and boxed products. The shelf is situated indoors near sheer curtains.

The idea is simple. If you wish to pay corkage select your amount and 100% of the proceeds will go to our chosen organisation for the month.

Due to us hosting events on two of the Thursdays in May we have decided to offer BYO on Wednesdays and Thursdays for this month!

We will be donating all corkage sales to Ms Australia. Ms Australia empowers researchers to identify ways to treat, prevent and cure MS, they seek sustained and systemic policy change via advocacy, and act as the champion for Australia’s community of people affected by MS.
This is cause very close to our hearts as Dash’s sister Aimee was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 5 years ago.
Dash will also be running 100km for the month of May to fundraise too. You can track her progress, sign up and donate here.
